If I had to say what
about you ensorcells me,
perhaps I would point to your glaukos
eyes; that is how I saw you
first-as Warrior
Maiden-orbs reflecting the fire
flowing from your sword;
I might think it is lips
curled up in a smile,
imagine it is your words,
intoned British, just
enough to enchant;
and I could hardly guess
since we've never met.

*ICYDK: "Paris" is Paris Jefferson. I saw her
in Xena: Warrior Princess, The Diamond of Jeru,
and The Eligible Bachelor and thought she was exceptional in all three.
Maybe she will have occasion to read this poem...and maybe she won't. I read
it on stage during a karaoke party at the 2013 Xena Convention. AICYDK:
The last line is no longer true, I guess. I haven't changed it and might never
do so because "since we've never met but for about an hour" is too
much. I must however fix the clause following the first semicolon in the first
stanza since it feels...unrelated. I also contemplate changing " you" to "her." Hmmm....
